Once you issue it, the record locks. Corrections happen the way they are supposed to, on a new certificate, so the history holds up if anyone ever asks.
Numbering with no gaps
One sequence per company, claimed atomically. Two engineers issuing at once cannot land on the same number.
Document preview.
Press preview at any point in the form, and the certificate opens exactly as it will be sent to the customer; with everything you have put in so far. It's marked "Draft, not for issue", so it can never be mistaken for the real thing, and nothing is saved or filed. It is built on the spot and gone when you close it. Catching the wrong address here costs nothing. Catching it afterwards means issuing a second certificate.

That is what it is built for. Every step of the certificate saves as you go, so you can put the phone in your pocket, take a reading, and pick up where you left off without losing anything. Devices are not counted or licensed, so use the van tablet, the office desktop and your phone on the same login.
Issued certificates lock, on purpose. You raise a replacement, exactly as you would on paper, and both records stay in the history with their own numbers. Nothing you have already handed to a client can quietly change afterwards.

To be plain about it, Pascal is not HMRC-recognised filing software and does not file anything or give tax advice. It keeps the books you file from correct.
